Nothing fancy really just want something stainless steel with water on the door.

Been looking, the Samsung's look the best but seem to have many poor reviews about the ice maker breaking a lot. Could hedge that issue with an extended warranty.

Bought a Maytag a few years back, just around $2k. Has been very reliable. Couldn't tell you the price currently.

Just bought a frigidaire stainless French door, with ice and water. $1700 over Labor Day

I bought a Fridigidaire Gallery French door with bottom freezer. It was a pos. The defroster went out in less than 2 years. I was able to order the part, and do the repair, but it was a pain.

In troubleshooting I learned that faulty defrosters were common in these fridges.

We just bought a whirlpool one for $1600. It was the cheaper of the french door machines. I don't like it since the ice doesn't dispense through the door.

Bought this one about a year ago, no issues and the gallon door storage and "snack" drawer for the kiddos is nice to have.

I bought a Samsung with French doors and in-door water and ice maker, and it is as terrible as the reviews say. Eventually, had Home Depot buy it back from me 9 months later. Too many problems to list, but stay away!

Stanton's scratch and dent is where we bought our fridge, washer and dryer. About 30% off retail and all had a scratch or small dent on the back of the unit.

We have something very similar to this.

Frigidaire, just under $2k and haven't had a problem with it.

I'd really shy away from any of the options with a touchscreen, I feel like tech like that ages-- both aesthetically and functionally way faster than a nice timeless piece otherwise would.

Whirpool gold, make sure you get the model with a door alarm.

I thought I would save $100 or whatever and not get the door alarm. Wish I would have gotten it.

Email me @ 7thwardtiger@gmail.com. I was recently in the market and just purchased one. Lots of great models in your price point. Use a tape measure and get the dimensions of your current fridge and I will be able to assist you even better.
