If you had to pick between a Camry or Accord with 100k miles, which would you go with and why?

Accord because I think it would withstand more mileage

Camry. Resale value is important and directly correlates with the quality that is Toyota.

I've had both

Accord ran for 187K and I abused the shite out of it, rarely changed oil. Blew Up

Wife currently has a SE Camry with 137K which burns oil which is a bad sign.

I personally like the Camry better

I've owned both and went 100K+ on both

Accord by a mile

I owned an 00 Accord V6 from 00-10, almost put 200K miles on it. The only repair I ever had to make was to replace an alternator

Also owned an 07 Camry (4cyl) for 5 years, put 140K:
2 AC compressors
Both front wheel bearing assemblies
Fuel Pump

The Accord interior held up much better and the performance of the V6 never weakened

Just watch out for what model year you buy the Accord. I think 03-05 had issues with the paint

At that mileage I'd go with whatever of the two had the better car. Or which was more equipped.

Although outside of a diesel, don't know that I'd ever buy something with mileage that high.

100K is the midlife of most modern vehicles. As long as the interior is in good shape

Yea I know, and really nothing especially for those two makes.

Just don't know that I'd ever buy one with mileage that high. Maybe as a straight commuter car.

Toyoda

The name was changed when the new logo was created changing from kanji to katakana. In katakana toyota is 8 brush strokes and toyoda is 10. Eight is a lucky number and thus the 5th letter was changed.

This attention to detail is why I would say Camry > Accord.

Depends on the model year. Some year model Accords have bad transmission problems and same with Camrys.

I saw an 04 Camry with 414,000 miles at an auction last week.

Check this website for problems with each particular year models.
