Nope

Not what I saw. This was basic maintenance that hasnt been touched in weeks, maybe months. Absolutely inexcusable for LSU to ever look like that

Yes I'm talking about LSU. Seems like that would be a given here on this typically LSU focused website unless it was specifically mentioned as someplace else.

Isn’t it often that way in the summer?

grass not being mowed in places is part of it.

That's basically true of all of south Louisiana this July. I mowed mine yesterday and it felt like the sod was going to separate from the mud below it with every step.

We are dealing with a society of people refusing to get vaccinated, and a white supremacy epidemic, and you’re worried about petunias? Come on man.

Probably the main campus for the school this website is based on. Just a hunch.

Same for MSU campus, need a better mowing schedule. FWIW, some military bases are getting the same shape, grass getting too tall before being mowed.

Took my kids to run around campus while we were visiting, and it looked like absolute shite. Weeds everywhere, landscaping was horrendous, just not a good look at all

I mean...it has been raining everyday since St. Patricks Day

Could be all the rain BR has been getting combined with the lack of people that want to work....everyone is having problems finding employees...that's no secrete.

And places that give a shite about their property have still managed to keep it maintained

So, what exactly are they doing with the donated funds they keep begging for?

Umm, have you not been to the west side of campus lately? That money is very visible.

That would be obvious if this wasn't the "Off Topic Lounge" and people from multiple universities did not frequent here. Furthermore, your complete lack of context to the said university and ASSumption that everyone here knows exactly what you're referring to is off-putting.

I agree with OP. Regardless of other people hanging out here, I'd assume LSU unless stated otherwise. The site is covered in purple and gold, and includes the school's nickname, plus poop.

Campus has been noticeably less well kept for at least the past year and a half. If someone were to go around with a notebook and write down everything that could be fixed it would probably fill up many pages in a notebook and possibly cost more than they have to spend. I have no idea what their budget is though. Between cracked concrete walkways with weeds coming out, bad roads, un-mowed grass, general lack of landscaping.

Yes I get that it feels like there is a lot of issues socially right now and this might seem unimportant but people are still coming to LSU in the fall. The world will continue to spin. And I assume that someone is being paid to do this work, just obviously not doing as good of a job as they used to.

They have a contract with someone....maybe they are in the process of bidding it out...maybe the contract ran out and no one wants to bid it.

I'm sure if you dig deep enough you can find out who was the last company to have the contract

That's a mighty big frick up by the contract procurement department if so.

I don't think they do. LSU employees are hired specifically for care and maintenance. These are actual employees of the state system. If it was contracted out, it would look allot better and be better maintained.
