Trash. In fact , I just passed that little cocksucker about thirty minutes ago. Sitting in the grass with what looks like a regular hand held camera. I was actually going 40 right where the sign starts. Im sure his tickets are real accurate.

City Council in Winnsboro recently authorized their use. Beware of any town along Hwy 15. All are speed traps with or without cameras. Ferriday, clayton sicily island, wisner, gilbert. Winnsboro, baskin, and mangham

If they sent you a picture of your car, send them a picture of some money.

My MIL had that same exact situation and thought I was crazy for telling her to trash it. She didn’t believe me when I said that they can’t prove that she was driving the car.
Same as the red light cameras in Lafayette years ago.

I’ve heard a lot about these camera tickets in small towns recently. Are people getting these on those mobile radars set up on the side of the highway? I drive a lot and I’ve seen those set up in little towns across Louisiana pretty often recently.
It’s called remote speed enforcement. A post certified LEO runs a LiDAR gun with a plate reader camera. They can run hundreds of tickets a day instead of a few. It’s legal in LA.
I know 2 companies hitting every small town in LA. It’s a money grab.

I happened across this law the other day:
La RS 32:45. Required notification for mobile speed camera
A. Local municipal authorities or local parish authorities shall post signs indicating that a mobile speed camera is present. The sign shall be posted no less than two hundred fifty feet and no more than five hundred feet of the location of each mobile speed camera in such a manner as to be clearly visible, not obstructed by any barrier, equipment, vegetation, or other object, and shall be easily viewable by drivers approaching the speed camera. The sign shall comply with the current manual and specifications adopted by the Department of Transportation and Development pursuant to R.S. 32:235.
B.(1) Failure of a municipal or parish authority to comply with Subsection A of this Section shall prohibit the use of any photographic or video images collected by the speed camera to impose or collect any civil or criminal fine, fee, or penalty by or on behalf of the municipal or parish authority.
(2) In any proceeding to collect a civil or criminal fine, fee, or penalty by or on behalf of a municipal or parish authority, a rebuttable presumption shall exist that signs were posted in accordance with Subsection A of this Section.
C. For the purposes of this Section, "mobile speed camera" means a device designed to collect photographic or video evidence of an alleged violation of a posted speed limit by recording images that depict the license plate or other identifying feature of a motor vehicle that is not operated in compliance with a posted speed limit sign.

Has to be said every thread. Do not respond in any way, and certainly DO NOT go to that website and enter your information to look it up.

Been driving this on nearly a weekly basis for 4 years and haven't gotten a ticket yet

They have been writing tickets there for several months. I heard they wrote 400 tickets in one day. The speed limit is 40, and if you start to accelerate to 55 before you get to the 55 sign, you get a ticket in the mail. I put my cruise on 38 and shoot them the finger as I go by.

Where is the Clayton camera? I know Hwy 65 but what form is the camera? Is it attached to a road sign? I looked for the gd thing and could not find it. Thx.

I drove from BR to Monroe and back yesterday. I noticed a white van parked on the side of the road in one of those shite towns along that route that looked to be one of those speed camera traps. I did not go more than 3mph over the speed limit the whole trip there and back.

That's what I want to know. I'm wondering if it's those mobile radars that tell you your speed they put out all over.

Is shooting a laser pointer at it against the law?

It’s a fairy hunched over by the tire in the grass on the side of the road. Trying to play ghille boy

Dad was born and raised on a cotton farm in a dirt floor shack outside Mangham. Just last year his widowed SIL, my Aunt by marriage, died on that old family farm at 92 and her funeral was in Winnsboro.
