The payment and collection is a civil matter between you and the company. The company pays the town their cut. When you don't pay Camera Company LLC, they sell the debt to a collection agency. That's where you can have some fun.

Unless the company can produce a signed agreement that you (the driver) chose to business with them --- they can't --- legally there isn't anything they can do. They can threaten, and they will, but nothing will happen.

License can't be suspended.
License can be renewed.
Insurance isn't impacted or notified.
Life goes on.

It's a money extortion scheme. Send out enough letters, and plenty of sheep will pay. Rinse and repeat.

When I Googled Mapped the 3513 Hwy 65... The image in the map shows a speed limit sign 55 mph. The total location is Hwy 65 - Hwy 425 to 3513 Hwy 65. I googled the end of the location and speed limit sign posted was 55 in the image above. Obviously, they are taking a picture of people when the speed limit is increasing to 55 mph. Without being able drive back to see all the details. This makes me wonder if the design of the location is place where drivers naturally increase their speed.

Witnessed & Reviewed

the camera in Clayton is manually operated by the town cop. When you drive through town and see an unmarked black Tahoe on the side of the road, he's hiding behind the truck taking pictures of your plate if the camera says you're over the limit. Just slow down if you see that - I honk at him every time I go by like, "I see you fat pervy MFer"

If you get the ticket, the camera company has already paid the town their cut and the fee is a civil court matter between you and the camera co. That's why it goes to collections. With your cell phone, start blocking the phone numbers when collections call and they'll eventually go away.

I've bought and sold cars, registered cars, renewed licenses and plates, and never once paid a single camera ticket for speeding, red light, or otherwise. When I bought a house a few years ago, all those unpaid camera tickets were nowhere reported to any credit agency.
