Alright baws, I think this guy was in Chewbacchus 2024 parade. I found this image through PimEyes, and it was from French Quarter Journal website.
There's a Chewbacchus facebook group and I suspect he may be a member, but there are 12,000+ and I don't feel like looking through all of them. I didn't see him in any pics since 2024.

The Chewbaccus connection may be a dead end. I'm pretty sure I know who the guy is in the costume, and he'd never vandalize anything, wear giant beads and is not a gump.

I will say, after scouring through the chewbacchus fb group, there are a ton of lefties who likely hate musk.
