why should alpine county and it's population of barely over 1000 hold as much weight as Los Angeles county with its population of over 10 million?

It would cancel out millions of uninformed party line voters.

why don't we just break the country up altogether?

I think we’ll eventually see a Balkanization of the US.

You really think the US lasts forever in it’s current configuration?

Well, yeah.

It's inevitable. Nothing lasts forever.

Are there crazies in California? I'll be the first to agree. In a state of 40 million people it's bound to happen.

You got that right. There is a lot right about California, it's the people that live there now have messed it up.

It's cliche, but I think Rome is a better comparison. We're in a semi-imperial phase already. All that's lacking is a divisive crisis.

Don’t worry, liberals are working hard to create a divisive crisis.

Would California be as successful if they were their own country

We'd provide their national defense. We don't want to share a land border with a hostile power.

I love living in California. It’s a beautiful state with great wages and an awesome place to raise kids. I am visiting the South right now and have been homesick since we left. It’s not the picture Foxnews paints.

of course it isnt. its a great state that has a lot going for it. people on here just cant take the fact that there are a group of people who live in a different culture and environment who happen to have different political beliefs
