Exactly my thought. Is the government going to be walking POGs in stores now?
Also what is a gender neutral toy? Are Legos gender neutral or does it depend on the picture on the box?
How about Ghostbusters toys? Are the old ones on the boys aisle and the reboot ones on the girls aisle? What about the 2021 movie? That movie has both boys and girls as Ghostbusters.
This is stupid and California is stupid.

Exactly. I don't think I've ever seen a toy department with sections marked "boy" and "girl." Now there may be a bunch of Legos and action figures on one aisle and a bunch of Barbies and stuffed animals on another aisle but last I checked anyone could by anything from whichever aisle they wanted.
Sounds like Newsome is the one making assumptions about what are "girl's" toys and what are "boy's" toys to me. The stores aren't labeling them but it appears he has been. How dare he be so insensitive and misogynistic!

That shite dont fly if you have siblings and/or cousins that are much older than you. I remember getting called a fig as far back as I can remember just for doing something that my brother or older cousins thought that was "fig shite".
One time for an easter egg hunt I don't know how but I got some my little pony toy. And they kept telling me "you got a fig toy!"
Come to think about it, if there is such a thing as toxic masculinity.. I was deep into that shite growing up. If you cried you got picked on for being a sissy.
I don't know if that happens between older and younger kids today but it seems like we lived like barbarians compared to today's kids.

Legos themselves have varying themes. You can get Disney princess sets.

Based off the stores I go to for toys, Target and Walmart, I don't see how this changes anything. It sounds like a political chest bumping that changes nothing. I've never been to a store that has it's aisles labeled boy toys or girl toys. And in regards to the "gender neutral" toys, both Target and WM already have that with the aisles with the learning toys, Lego sets, etc.
