Why would there be people with cameras fixed on the pentagon ready to capture a random event? Especially in 2001 when everyone didn’t have camera phones.

It’s a lot easier to capture random footage in NYC with millions of people walking around

lol

Why do you think there should be? Security cameras generally point inward to watch the doors, not outside at the walls. And twenty years ago they were pretty grainy and shot video at like one frame per second.

Looks like it was still taxiing

Several documents reference the landing gear doing most of the damage to the walls, not the fuselages

But you tell me how in he hell did a rookie pilot manage to steer that big arse jet on the trajectory it did perfectly into that building?

I mean for fricks sake? That was perfect

Not talking about a Cessna here.
Just looked really hard to do imo.

They learned to fly a plane.

The pentagon seems like a poorly designed building. I don’t understand the need to shape it that way

They kinda painted themselves into a corner by having the naming meeting before the design meeting. Lessons learned, I guess.

I mean, the guy actually hit some lightposts and the plane was slightly rolled, so I wouldn't say it was perfect.

Most security cameras are pointed at doorways, entrances, or other small areas. They’re not gonna catch a plane traveling hundreds of mph

it really is kinda surprising/impressive he hit only the building and not the road, or the lawn in front of the building with such a big plane going that fast. He was nearly level, too.

Its the motherfricking penatagon!!! The 2nd most important building in DC if not the country. Even in 2001 I think they probably had security cameras every fricking 10 ft.

Shouldn't you be re-watching the "Back To The Future" 9/11 conspiracy video?

Security cameras every 10 feet pointed at the walls of the building? No one has that. They point out to the parking lots or down to doorways.

Huh.

Like maybe that could be the reason why they released a limited amount of video?

You would be surprised. But, it’s not exactly unsecure. You have armed military personnel. And in 2001, video footage was shite. Besides, most of the surveillance is probably inside the building.

ETA: And the Pentagon is not that important. It’s a meeting place for top officials, but the military is pretty much perfectly operational without it.

No video from inside, in which every hallway is most assuredly under video surveillance. Cameras are everywhere on the building and not one video or frame in 17 yrs.

it does make you wonder
