I quit traveling on the holidays years ago. Always a nightmare driving or flying.
At least with driving you can leave at odd times to avoid the idiots.

My Amazon belts

Though my replacement is batting .500 on triggering the metal detector.
Let's say, whatever "metal" it is, it isn't enough or something.

Back before my son was born we took our daughter to Disney for her first trip. We left Thanksgiving morning. It was glorious.

Flying summer of 2020 was awesome. Outside of the mask thing it was like flying private.

I would love to pull a cooler up to terminal B at IAH on a day like this just to watch the trash fest.

I had a friend who worked for the TSA. Told me they put "fake bombs" in luggage to test the accuracy of the screening process. Said the test prop basically looked like a Looney Tunes stack of dynamite with "this is a bomb" written on it. I guess something like this:
Told me that these things were missed almost 50% of the time. Just think about that. All that time, money, all those employees, etc... and something as ridiculous as this only gets caught about half the time.

You need this belt. When you tell TSA it will not trigger the metal detector, be prepared for them to cast a mean look at you, argue w/ you and still insist you remove the belt. Don't ask me how I know.

That is still in the planning stages, but I'm thinking a Nielson style rating system of people that agree to have their vehicle tracked.

Sorry to hear that baw. I’ll drink a couple for you.

I flew from Miami Fl to Monroe La on Thanksgiving. I left my apartment at 7:00. Breezed through security and made my 8:15 flight. Had breakfast at the moonshine bar in Atlanta. Made it to Monroe in time to get to Thanksgiving lunch. It was one of my best traveling experiences by far.
