Modelo Especial, Michelob Ultra and Bud Light. Those are the recent sales rankings of the top three beers in the U.S., according to data shared by Bump Williams consulting firm. In year-to-date numbers that ended July 6, Modelo accounted for 9.3% of beer dollar sales in U.S. stores. Michelob Ultra accounted for 7.1%, and Bud Light fell to the No. 3 spot with 7.0%, an analysis of NielsenIQ data shows.

I don't drink beer, but if I did I wouldn't buy Modelo just because of their stupid-arse trashy commercials.

0.1% - America, I'm ashamed. That didn't take long for Bud to catch back up.
God bless the Modelo drinkers who are still holding out.

They’ve permanently lost about 20 percent of their customer base. I’m pretty sure America sent them a message.

My summer boat/pool beers (super light because its hot as hell) have been Yuengling Flight and Hiney Silvers.

AB taking a hit over this deal isn't media hype. I know a guy who works for the local distributor (Champagne Beverage) and a guy who works for AB Corporate.
They both confirm the financial toll of that debacle was very real and hurt them. That's saying something when you are as big as AB.

Meh, practically all of the rednecks around here lost their minds over the Dylan Mulvaney stunt. Within a month, they were right back drinking that Michelob Ultra swill. You can’t fix stupid.

The top 3 are all owned by the AB. AB owns more than 20 beer brands.

Yep, as is Modelo,
I don't think AB really cares one way or the other as long as they are making money.

A lot of illegals like that Modelo Especial.

Preemptive it's a joke, settle down.

It's still the #1 best selling beer OP. It just isn't the most profitable in $$$. Makes sense cuz they charge a lot more for cases of Michelob
quote:
"Bud Light is still the #1 selling beer in the United States on a volume basis (cases) and has started to recover from the Dylan Mulvaney situation that occurred on April 1st of 2023," a statement from the consulting firm to FOX Business reads. "

Pretty much all Light Beer taste like shite unless you are really hot and thirsty and you want something that does what cold water does without drinking plain old cold water.
But once you hit the point where you get fat easily you have to make some sacrifices and empty beer calories seem to be where mainstream American dads draw the line.

I thought constellation owned modelo?

Kind of an odd situation. Constellation owns Modelo in the US and AB-Inbev owns Modelo internationally.

On June 12, 2008, The Wall Street Journal stated that Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owned a non-controlling 50% stake in the company, might attempt to acquire the remaining 50%.[3] On June 29, 2012, it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev would acquire the remaining 50% stake for an all-cash price of $20.1 billion.[4] On January 31, 2013, the US Department of Justice filed an antitrust suit in an attempt to prevent the buyout. The matter was settled, and the two companies merged in June 2013,[5] with the transfer of all United States rights to Constellation Brands.[6] As a result, all the company's brands are made (in Mexico) by an unrelated company. In the United States, Grupo Modelo brands are distributed by Constellation Brands
US Distribution is Constellation, International distribution is AB-InBev.

We hate Bud Light but not its owner. SMH
Protest it all or watch AB catch back up (really, stay on top)

This. I wonder how many dipshit rednecks switched to Michelob thinking they were really sticking one to the man?
