Yea I travel every corner of the state.
St John sheriff AWLAYS on that staight stretch, and they're really hard to see on the blacktop shoulder, and under the shade of the trees in the morning.

For sure. I still get nervous and check my speed although its NEVER over 75. I drive like a frickin pawpaw while listening to my books or podcasts.
I passed one this morning while balls deep in "Killing England".

I’ve never seen this done down here, but it happened to me leaving ATL after we lost to Georgia in the SEC. I’m hungover and pissed, my now exwife is chewing on my arse for going 100. Round this curve, and a Georgia state police has one pulled over and points to me. I kept on trucking. Pulled over at the next exit and parked behind a truck stop. After the adrenaline rush, wife and I crack up laughing....then had sex in the back of the expedition. Made the whole trip worth it.

cops do more harm than good on the atchafalaya basin. They pull cars going 67 in a 60 over and cause a traffic jam. meanwhile truckers (whose speed limit is 55 on the bridge) do 65 or 70 and never get stopped on the bridge because of the risk of a big rig on the shoulder.

Exactly. If I stop, I'm definitely getting a ticket. Make that dude get on his bike and chase you down if he's going to give you a ticket. Just tell him you didn't think he was flagging you down and be sure there's nothing else that he can add on to the ticket like a busted headlight or some shite like that.

Now this is laughable. They dont pull them over ON the bridge bc of the safety risk. Instead, they follow behind them and pull them over as soon as they get off the bridge.
