you bring your clubs just make sure you win. Don’t want to show up in your Tiger red and lose to Shawna from HR, not a good look.

And being good at golf doesn’t translate to winning at top golf. Shawna can hit little dribblers to the target in front all day while you try to hit the back targets and show off

If it was just bragging rights pretty douchey, but a thousand is a thousand. I'll have the top golf people thinking I'm a douche for a thousand doll hairs.

Who in the company is organizing the event and came up with the idea for the $1000 prize? I'd be suspicious that they're a pretty solid golfer and just doesn't let on at work. Bring your clubs just in case...even if only your driver, 5 and PW

A couple people I’ve asked said all you have to do is hit it against the back net every time to score the most

This isn't correct. Depends on which game is selected. Some games make you hit certain targets in order. And the longer bullseyes are worth more than back target.

7 iron is all you should need, baw - I've played entire rounds with only a 7 iron as an homage to Tin Cup

This is also a dude that brags on here like he is some baller. 1k shouldn't mean jack to him. Also a single digit handicap when no one else plays golf.

It's probably all bs anyway

Surprised they let you….
The balls and clubs are very different and made for that specific use.
Maybe it’s changed….

Work or any other group event - do not bring clubs.

Group of friends/golfers competing - bring clubs.

Those are the rules.

You're not going to win. It's going to be the 22 year old secretary that's never picked up a club before. Good golfers are terrible at Top Golf.

In general it’s not considered douchey, but for your office gathering it will be out of place and you better not hit any bad shots.

The balls are shite and don’t go far so your distances on the course will not be reflected at TG. The clubs are rebranded callaway SGI so you will be able to hit them just fine, you don’t need to hit that high fade to score at TG. The tee heights are like 5/8” off the ground so your 460 cc driver will not work.

I would recommend you walk up with a beer in hand from the bar and let your golf skills do the talking. You aren’t going to lose because of the TG clubs if you’re a single digit.

I have only been to Top Golf once in Houston so I am by no means an expert at Top Golf. I am also just an average golfer (Play a once every 1-2 months, never broke 80 but don't shoot over 100, really depends on how many beers I have had). All that to say, the Top Golf golf clubs are terrible. They feel like you are swinging a pool noodle. Next time I go back, I plan to bring my own clubs.

Best of Luck trying to win $1,000!

TopGolf will give you a free pass if you wear Knickers. One of their best kept secrets.

Show up with a jigger and a mashie niblick and blow their minds.

Won the $1000. It wasn’t even close. One guy kept blading the ball into a deeper target but that wasn’t sustainable. Dominated!
