I'm sure they are wonderful people, but I really don't understand the relevance to the point of the problem

Because people are more likely to help other good people

I don't agree with the woman not giving the dog back, but I can also somewhat see her point...if I were to put myself in the shoes of crazy dog person.

If the people really cared so much about the dog, it would have been chipped, or at least had proper identification. Without the lady that has the dog, the dog is probably dead right now. So she might feel that she saved this dog from these people's negligence.

Again...I don't necessarily agree with it.

I'll take my chances. Never been known for having patience, and I certainly wouldn't if someone had my dog. My dog is more important to me than someone I don't know. They are disposable IMHO

And this is why you should not take legal advice from the OT.

So the dog wasn't fixed, wasn't chipped, and was left in a situation where it could easily run away. I hope the original owners get their dog back but they need to step up and be more responsible.
