So, this bitch knows there are legit owners, is trying to sell the dog for her own personal gain and will not return it?

Some people just can't help but be 100% a-hole.

All flaming aside, it's about a dog and a family who loves and misses him.

She did say she would return it if they would neuter all of their pets.

Her FB page is blocked but her groups isn't. The only rescue I saw is Paws of NE LA. I sent them an email.
Good rescues do not operate like this.

Hello,
I am familiar with the page and the case. Beverly Coburn is not a Paws Board Member or member at large, nor was the dog rescued through Paws. We have many members and supporters who rescue independently, and are not affiliated with our rescue program.
That being said, the facts are being misrepresented. The dog was not "stolen". It was found wandering loose with NO identifying information. The woman who found him, probably saving him from being hit by a car, or stolen as a bait dog, attempted to locate the owners. He was held at the shelter for 7 days, during which no one called or came looking for him. After the seven days, he was legally adopted. What I think the owners are overlooking is that this woman most likely saved this dogs life. This is a VERY high kill shelter-over 85% euthanasia rate. Most large, mix breed dogs are put to sleep immediately after coming g off their stray hold. This dog was very lucky to be rescued, as many are not. Personally, I would not adopt out a dog to someone who let their un-neutered dogs run loose around town, and I can understand her reluctance to return the dog.
This is my personal opinion, but regardless, she is not affiliated with our group in any meaningful way.

Maybe I'm just sympathetic to the family. But that's a lot of hyperbole. And they didn't find the dog at the shelter because it was a Parish over. If my dog goes missing in EBR, I don't know if I'd check with Livingston, Ascension, etc.

Not to mention it got out in a rural area. Not the middle of the city.

She was very condescending, I told her I was impressed that she had never had a dog get loose on her & was not shocked they had an 85% kill rate with their "requirements" for adoption.
