What do people expect, it's a zoo run by government inner city employees. They don't make enough to care. frick moving the zoo, just shut it down and transfer the animals to Audubon where they will get some real care.

Nashville's zoo sucks a big one too. Not sure how it compares to BREC's zoo. I haven't been since I was a little kid.

It was dead when they buried it but they killed it during transport on accident so it never actually got publicized that it was there.

The zoo has killed more animals in the past 5 years than they have brought in via birth or transfers. It should be shut down or find a way to better care for them. They spend all their money on front entrance renovations and the other animal habitats are embarrassing. Outside of the tiger exhibit which exxon paid for the rest is in shambles.

Scruffy would go to a place called the Zoo of Death.

That sounds like fun.

Sounds like a deranged employee. Most of that is normal for animals in captivity

Moving it would potentially change things if it were to start bringing in revenue, but most likely not. I'm not sure why the zoo is still here.

It takes just 20 minutes longer for a lot of the residents in the BR area to just drive to Audubon. Moving it makes sense.

BR messes everything up for families. The Knock Knock museum is a mess too because they charge high prices to the people that can afford it and let others in for free. Then they made it the biggest waste of space in the city.

How much does it cost for productive citizens to get in?

I don't want to watch that and if they were mistreating animals that would be terrible but if they were in the wild half the animals would be eating the other half anyway.

I have a membership I wish I had my money back for but I beleive its 14pp. Adults pay to go and NOT watch their kids play for the most part.

Its 3 dollars for anyone with an EBT card so not exactly free closer to 5 for the price of 1.

I’m not watching either. When I become dictator I’m abolishing every zoo in this country. You want to see foreign animals? Travel to where they live.

I've been telling my wife for years the BR zoo is like the nursing home of zoos. This is the last stop for most. When you come here, you come here to die. Animals have have aged themselves out of quality zoos, but guess who will take them for cheap. Quite frankly it's sad.

And it was designed for kids up to age 8 which seems ridiculous. I'm not saying it should cater to 16 y/o's, but it should at least go to age 12 or so.
