Has this been posted yet? Employee documented a bunch of issues at the zoo and posted a photo album on Facebook.

I will not watch. If there is any mistreatment of animals it would anger me and make me incredibly sad.

Could be why they lost their accreditation. I don't know, just a hunch.

Generally speaking, I think BREC does a great job. With that being said, the BR Zoo is a disaster.

I wish our people in charge would grow a pair and shut it down or move it. I can honestly say that I have never been to a worse zoo in my life.

Alexandria's Zoo, puts this zoo to shame. That is not a shot at Alexandria, just pointing out that you don't have to be a huge city to have a competent zoo.

Moving it would not change how it is ran and who it is ran by.

I know for a fact there is a giraffe buried out there that was hush hush. Didn’t dig a hole big enough so they sawed the neck off. The zoo is a joke.

I been saying this. Alot of animals cant be seen in their exhibits. The plant life is dead or not kept up. The have looked like they havent really maintained this place or gave a shot for a long time and I'm sure the animal care is just as bad.

They have planned on moving the zoo and didn't want to invest further there. The entire result has been disastrous.

I throw a fit every time my wife asks me to go there. That zoo is horrible, and would be an embarassment, but it's on par with the city it's in.

No way that’s a story you don’t tell when you’re drunk.

This one time at the zoo...

I wish they wouldn't have put this in a facebook album. The way it's put together is a tad hard to follow. Images of texts are incredibly small as well. I couldn't get halfway through it.

This. Hard as hell to follow which gave it the feeling of being an Enquirer article...one-sided and out of context.
