still funny this house lists for $6.5 M and the LaLaurie mansion (which is over 10,000 sq ft and is the largest house in the quarter has never topped $1.3M.
(people still afraid of ghosts )

quote:

Cage’s French Quarter house at 1140 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70116 is for sale for $3,550,000 (photo above). Known as the “LaLaurie Mansion,” it is considered the most haunted house in New Orleans. During an interview with David Letterman last year, Cage was quoted as saying the mansion is:

“…a very notorious house, a very famous house, meaning it is allegedly the most severely haunted house in the United States of America. “Some people have beach-front property, I have ghost-front property.”

It sold for $1.3 asking was $3.5. No one from Louisiana has owned it in a century.

Good luck with that. Ain't nobody going to pay double for a house, in shitty New Orleans nonetheless.

I've seen it. It was boring as shite. Fury was pretty solid, though, and 12 Monkeys is one of my top 5.

NOLA's real estate market is on fire. They are selling before the bubble bursts.

I was checking out of a grocery store and saw the headline on a tabloid, "Brad caught naked with other Woman." The plot thickens.....

Mr. Pitt was later seen chasing Ms. Jolie though the French Quarter and screaming 'but honey, I'm Brad Pitt!!'

I thought they sold that place years ago. It's no secret that Angelena hates New Orleans.

Real estate is on fire, but $800+ per sq ft is still ridiculous for the area. No one is going to pay that.

Don't blame them. The idiots in the city voted for every property tax increase on the ballot the other day. Stupid stupid stupid asses. But you know what, 80% of the people that voted don't even own property so what does it matter to them.

FQ in NOLA is one of the most rapidly ascending in terms of appreciating RE markets on Earth currently.

Never heard this, but I didn't think they spent enough time there to hate it that much. I thought they "resided" there for the tax breaks.

I'm sure it's ridiculous inside. Off street parking too? Yeah, I'd take it.
