Just think of all the studies though.

In 1968 it cost $46m ($320m today) to build the whole damn bridge. About half of this will end up in politians' pockets.
Have you seen the cost of concrete lately? Readymix is out of control expensive.

"Graves' office said the money will be used to solve that situation, a reason traffic bottlenecks in the city."
It's not going to solve it, but it will help. You're still merging and then there is an exit right after you merge. Luckily I don't have to deal with BR problems often.

Sounds like that grant is racist. Also, $60 million allocated to a $350 million project won't get it off the ground, especially after the governor already stole the $250 million they allocated to us last time.

Gary Chambers gonna be mad about this one.
He is to hung up on the shooting last night to worry about that. This is his latest post...

How is getting rid of that exit going to do anything to improve traffic?
You're still going from two lanes to 1.
The only way to improve that would be to have the 2 lanes from the bridge stay 2 lanes, and the interstate be 4 lanes all the way to College.

It should of never been put there in the first place.
It will help some, but BR needs a by-pass.

LEFT SIDE EXIT!? Everybody know left hand exits are inferior to right hand exits. You white devil think we gonna settle for a LEFT HAND EXIT?

It would cost 350 million to add a lane from Washington Street to Acadian. Closing the exit really does nothing but move the bottleneck another 20-30'. In either configuration of those lanes, it's still 4 lanes going down to 3, whether it's the two lanes off the bridge being consolidated first or the two lanes from downtown, the bottleneck of only having 3 lanes in that stretch will still exist.

The locals are gonna be up in arms that this will stifle a large portion of their income gained through carjacking lost motorists who get off an exit early or late.
On the upside, now they can play basketball, shoot dice, and aimlessly meander in the middle of the road without having to worry about as much traffic now.
