BR is an absolute dump in a state that’s a dump and I was born in raised in this state. But I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled many places in the world and I can tell you that besides St. Louis (which I hated), BR is the worst I have seen.
Incredible pollution, lack of parks or recreation, no city planning, poor arts culture, horrible transit system, the demographics, lower incomes, no downtown, the worst public schools and gridlock traffic.
BR is not a good place to live ...or be single apparently.

New Orleans should be way higher - looking at their rankings and the cities they have top 10, I bet they penalize it for not being open to interracial dating or some bullshite (seeing Dallas also so low rather confirms that).

I call BS on this. BR actually has a very nice park system for a city its size, although I'd love to see a larger urban greenspace developed from the City Park golf course.

BS here too. Compared to larger cities, the arts scene in BR is lacking, but compared to similarly-sized cities in the south, it's pretty on par. You just have to look a bit harder than in some other cities.

Agree with you here, except for the part about downtown. Downtown BR was on the rise until Broome took office and crime skyrocketed.

Keep making shite up. You do realize that BREC consistently wins national awards for having some of the best park facilities? We way overfund that aspect of Baton Rouge.
And so glad you travelled other places. I actually lived on the East and West coasts and can tell you there are worse places to live.

Disregard your Atlanta bias and put them up there. I've spent a few months there in '18 and it is insane. Seems to be 5 to 1 Girl to guy ratio and also it seems like most of the guys are not hetero which even more skews the numbers our way. Atlanta really is awesome right now.
