New Orleans should be way higher - looking at their rankings and the cities they have top 10, I bet they penalize it for not being open to interracial dating or some bullshite (seeing Dallas also so low rather confirms that).

Oh lookie. Another thread where everyon on TD can come to piss and moan about how awful Baton Rouge and LA are so they can sound edgy. If you hate the state, the city and LSU so fricking much then get off TD and fricking move. The endless whining is exhausting. Y’all should look at the methodology. A lot of the metrics are based on “per capita,” so of course the wealthier cities with more tourist attractions will rank higher.
Also, the study gives heavy weight to how many people in the area are on Tinder (12.50 points) compared to 1.92 points for things like nightlife options per capita.
Finally economics are weighted the least per metric meaning that San Francisco might score high for dating opportunities and fun/recreation but not be docked for its affordability.

Last time I had single friends on dating apps a few years ago, the dating pool seemed remarkably small in BR. The same guys were on each site/app, and everybody sleeps with everybody. Hopefully it’s a little better for the sub-30 crowd.
