If by weak you mean they have material evidence of manufacturing illicit drugs, then yes, i guess that's "weak".

If he's dealing fentanyl or cutting his drugs with it, he should be beaten to death in the streets by the very people who will hold him up as a symbol of of the black community. Some people can't get out of their own way.

Typical Progressive MO. This is what they do. They flaunt their stupidity in your face. You have no idea how proud of themselves they are. The more vile and ignorant, the more credibility they get in Progressive circles.

There is nothing progressive about this. This is just good old fashioned black panther mentality politics. He’s not guilty because he’s black. Period.

Just ignore the murder part.

Did that black life not matter?

It is OK. You don't have to answer. We already know it didn't.

I didn't skip over it. The way I read it was that was from 2022 and had nothing to do with his most recent arrest. My reading comprehension may be broke though.

What I should have said was, with all the shite he is accused of and the past he has, they should have been able to come up with more than the ole "residue" trick. That shite won't stick, just look at his priors for an example.

Why are we blaming the drugs and not the drug users?

That would be like me blaming the gun for committing a murder.

Can’t even see the fact that rewarding that behavior and mentality is just helping create a shitey culture

So you can still murder someone and be given leadership awards!

How fricking obvious can it be that this mentality is what’s fricking the black youth up

What political ideology emboldens these idiots to not only act this way, but also directly tell you this?

Again, what political group is encouraging this behavior today?

White Progressives clap like retarded seals when idiocy like this is put on display, then rubbed in the faces of normal people (political enemies).

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The NAACP Louisiana State Conference is proud to announce that Eugene Collins, President of the NAACP Baton Rouge Branch, will be taking on a special assignment and joining Corey Miller's team in advocating for his innocence. President Collins will be working with FFO Investigations, led by Ms. Kasandra Washington.
Corey Miller, also known as "C-murder," was convicted of murder in 2009 and has been serving a life sentence at the Louisiana Department of Corrections ever since. However, there is significant doubt about the fairness of his trial, along with evidence that suggests his innocence.
“Eugene Collins and the NAACP are committed to fighting for justice and equality for all, and we believe that Corey Miller deserves a fair trial and the chance to prove his innocence. Eugene Collins has joined Corey Miller's team, and we are proud to have him as an advocate along with the NAACP”.
-Corey Miller’s Management Team-
"We believe that justice must be served and that Corey Miller deserves a fair trial," said Eugene Collins. "We will do everything in our power to support his legal team and to raise awareness about his case."
The NAACP has been working closely with Miller’s publicist, Lisa Jackson, and Miller's manager, Steven Johnson. Miller's additional legal team includes attorneys Benjamin Crump and Ronald Haley Jr., to fight for justice and equality. We are pleased to announce that we are now assisting with the last steps in hopes of securing his release from prison.
We urge the public and the justice system to take a closer look at the evidence and give Corey Miller the fair trial that he deserves. We believe that justice will prevail and that Corey Miller will be exonerated. We will continue to work tirelessly to support Corey Miller's legal team and raise awareness about his case. We appreciate your support and ask that you join us in advocating for justice and equality for all.
Sincerely,
President Michael McClanahan
NAACP Louisiana State Conference
President Eugene Collins
NAACP Baton Rouge Branch

Same people that give folks like RKelly a key to the city despite pissing on 12yo girls.

But no, it isn't a political ideology promoting this. It is those awful White Supremacists that cause all of this to happen!

The head of the local NAACP, Eugene Collins, said Payne has been a community leader, even winning the Presidents Award from the organization. “I chose to give him that award, fully knowing all of that," Eugene Collins said. "Not only do I not regret giving him that award, I look forward to the day he is released, so we can do more good work, and maybe give him another one," Collins added.

It takes a lot for my WTH alarm to go off, but this shite here…. How in the hell am I supposed to support, nay, respect, an organization that does this. It’s like giving Epstein a humanitarian award because of his work with teens, or hitler the Nobel prize for scientific advancement in gas chambers.

What a joke

Its not unusual for those who profit by criminal activity to show generosity to their community.
Although there are lots of examples in the Italian communities, as well as the Irish and Chinese, this trait is not exclusively cultural.
Lots of millionaires and billionaires who made money thru unlawful or questionable means and have sought to buy respectability by charitable efforts.
AND, there are always non-profit organizations who gladly take their money and give awards in return.
Here the local NAACP is selling out for a few bucks.

If he only committed one murder and only has one active drug warrant, he might be "a positive influence in Baton Rouge" relatively speaking.

It’s great when something is meant to be funny, but, upon further inspection, is actually both funny and true.
