I say let em dance.
There’s nothing stopping them from setting aside celebration time at the end or dancing the day / night away later.
It’s not about celebrating.
It’s rude, peacocking, attention-seeking behavior.

At McKinley High School's graduation, school officials ended the ceremony early after several students started dancing with their diplomas.
If you watch the video, the principal at McKinley wasn’t having it.
Chris Rock talked about this black civil war 30 years ago.

This problem, if you may, did not just now happen.
Unfortunately, it is a reflection of how far our culture has decayed.

They have prom queens because it is the closest they will get to being a bride. They go native at HS grad because it is the last one they will have. To behave would mean that you have self-respect and respect for others.

Absolutely. This is still better than shooting up the Mall of Louisiana or street take overs that run over bystanders.

Easy fix have 2 graduations one for people who actually graduated and want to walk across the stage like normal graduates. No family Tshirts or noise makers etc.
Then a second one for “special antics and activities” at a later time like say 11PM then they can go straight to the club and whatever else they want to do!
Problem solved

I received a FB post with a clip of the 2026 graduation ceremony at Punahou School in Hawaii. All the boys in suits, the girls in all white muu-muus. Huge choir sings and some of the students participate in a traditional Hawaiian dance (not impromptu, part of the program). The kids are all well behaved and all the parents are well behaved. Tons of stuff around the necks of the students - leis, beads, etc.
99% of the kids are in shape. It shows what a graduation could and should be.

The problem with the dancing and carrying on by family members is the lack of consideration for others as witnessed at my son’s HS graduation in 2025. So many families didn’t get to hear their graduate’s name announced bc a family of a graduate 5 min ago were still hollering and blowing horns. One mom in particular was screaming for her son to “look at ya mama” during the f’ing national anthem. Disgusting start to a supposedly special nite.

Probably just need to cancel these ceremonies for good.
Just withhold their diplomas.

Let’s see they can’t follow rules for a simple graduation ceremony and wonder why they end up in jail or dead not long after. This culture can’t be fixed.

Culture just gotta culture. The black folks who aren’t about that thug life need to do a much better job of policing and educating themselves. But sadly that is not happening.

Yuup, the problems in the black community; single parenthood, lack of personal accountability, lack of respect of others and crime is going to have to be corrected by the black community. Usually what happens though is successful blacks isolate themselves from the cultcha by living in white neighborhoods, sending kids to white schools, etc.

Nothing is going to change. Check out the comments from the peanut gallery on these news posts. Tons of people don't see a problem with it.

I agree with all of your post.

If you mean black culture you would be right. Except one could argue they have always been this way but now it is tolerated by white liberals. Now, there are little to no repercussions from anyone regarding out of control black culture.
