Gee, was he black? I’m told not all the thug POS are black, but it sure seems
Like the majority of thug POS are of the same race.

Can’t remember seeing an Asian in one of these stories.

What are your thoughts on Hillar Moore? Obviously you’ve gone up against his office. Is he adequately serving the citizens of Baton Rouge?

While I talk a fair amount on here about the system in general, I make a point of not discussing the merits of individuals, good or bad. That includes judges, prosecutors, and fellow defense attorneys. Too much room for hurt feelings (both if I say bad things about someone, or if I say good things about someone but not others), and too many people know who I am.

Mikelbr is a sneaky little bitch, though. He waits for me to have a few drinks and then asks me questions on Facebook Messenger

7 years for murder

It was apparently 7 years for the 2019 manslaughter plea. So he should get out in 2026. That article is very poorly written

Feel lucky the questions he’s asking you are about politicians.

He doesn't even have the patience to wait until I've been drinking to ask for that...

Somehow I don’t want to know what he is asking when you drink.

If you want a home breathalyzer test perhaps?

The chief went on to say this entire incident would have been a non-issue if the media hadn't reported on it.

He was in jail since 2014 and Manslaughter isn't without benefit.

Either that or a reach around.

Juvenile sentencing laws may have limited what the court could impose.

Very likely this was the case. Kids grow up faster now so juvy laws need changing. Some violent teens shouldn't be released when they turn 21.

No. His case was transferred to adult court.

Call Hillar Moore’s office and ask them about it.

Looks like Hillar got 2 previous convictions. Should be calling the judges.

It was an agreed upon sentence between defense and State. People really need to stop talking about shite they know nothing about...

Bailey pleaded guilty in 2019 to a manslaughter charge. He was given 10 years in prison but only served seven before he was released. Between his arrest for the murder in 2012 and now, he was also accused in an attempted murder from 2018. He was arrested for that shooting this month and was given a $300,000 bond by Judge Fred Crifasi. Days later, Bailey posted bond

Can someone explain this timeline to me?

Murphy Paul’s worst nightmare. Kiran just needs to keep the heat on. MP will let his emotions get the best of him and angrily lash out when he knows he’s losing control. Kiran will methodically play her cards right.

That's right you adorable little bitch you. I'm a staunch defender of Hillar Moore as a person and the DA of EBR.

I didn't bother to jump in the Hillar Moore thread b/c it's futile. But I can absolutely assure you he's not a Soros puppet nor does he compromise integrity for conviction rate. Those are absurdly baseless accusations.

Case dragged a while. Looks like he was remanded in 2014.

But that doesn't explain this:

Bailey pleaded guilty in 2019 to a manslaughter charge. He was given 10 years in prison but only served seven before he was released. Between his arrest for the murder in 2012 and now, he was also accused in an attempted murder from 2018

Unless the attempted murder occurred in prison? But if that's the case then this doesn't make sense:

quote:

He was arrested for that shooting this month and was given a $300,000 bond by Judge Fred Crifasi. Days later, Bailey posted bond

Idk how this works and it doesn't make any sense to me
