I think the "authorized" operation likewise caused irreparable harm to the brand/reputation.

Are there any IHOPs in Baton Rouge that have a good reputation? The one on Siegen lane had an employee murdered on site. And that is probably the "good" IHOP!

It is in their area for sure.

My IHOP story: I took my kids there once because they wanted pancakes. There was a fat African American lady in the front area waiting for a table. She was talking out loud but to no one in particular. Her story was that her young daughter had been killed and she was still looking for the murderer. She said the BRPD is corrupt and just went on rattling off about general BR corruption. One of her other kids, like 3 years old, started talking and she slapped it. She was so devastaed by the death of her daughter, that she had to publicly hit her kid that is alive.

My kids kept asking me what happened and why this lady was talking like that. I had no good answers, so we just do not go back to IHOP because the people there are crazy.

51 & I’ve never been to an IHOP. I feel pretty confident I’m in the clear to never go to one

I worked at the college drive wal mart when it first opened. Had to be there at 4 am. This was 2005. You see some strange shite at that time of morning.

They need to bulldoze everything that’s preventing them from making College a 6 lane road. Should not be 4 lanes going down to 2 lanes and etc.
So just IHOP. And then expand the width of the bridge that is closer to Perkins. I dont frequent college drive anymore, but IIRC I seem to remember IHOP being the only building hugging the road. Seems like a good start to widening the road by removing the building entirely.

Unauthorized operations did it? Have they been there in the last 20 years? It's been a shite hole for literal decades.
