Maybe you were just going for shock value, but there is a big difference between:
and:

Sacred Heart is better than all those schools. Best education hands down...
and:

I'm not gonna sit here can act like I keep tabs on everyone haha. All these schools produce great and accomplished young people. But from what I've heard, SHS has put out a lot of great young people as of late. It's really a good school. It would be considered "top notch" if it were in a better neighborhood.

I stand by what I said. But I recognize why people might be apprehension towards SHS. I speak in reference to the stories I have heard about SHS. Outstanding people have walked those halls

RHS? St. Jean? St. Francis Xavier? Holy Ghost?
Posted on 10/16/14 at 1:30 pm to StrongSafety
So I read on here that SGS was 3400/kid this year. Anyone have an idea on SAS and SJS?

I have experience with both St. Aloysius and St. George and can tell you that both are good, with little difference between them.
If the objective is getting into Catholic High, either one will get you there.

St Jude usually prices just a little below the other two. But you're talking about a difference of a couple hundred bucks at most. There is really not much difference financially.
I have no idea if your 3400 figure is right. There are also tuition levels.
Parish Member who meets a minimum yearly offetory $ amount.
Parish Member not meeting that amount
Non Parish Member
Non Catholic (I think...not sure about this one)

The SHS I've heard have gone on to be more accomplished than their peers at SAS, SGS, STM, etc
You know that is pure bullshite for argument.

St Aloysius is the best but the others are good as well.
Only one of these schools have a waiting list! SAS

Based strictly on your subjective experience I assume?
I went there and was bent on sending my kids there. Then I asked around and did a bit of research.

I am not sure this is correct, but if so I can tell you the geography likely has everything to do with that. Southdowns, Pollard, River Bend, Garden District, Moss Side, Hundred Oaks...Lots of kids in those areas.
St. Al was and probably is a great school, but at the end of the day I would rather a smaller school.

We're trying to decide between Mercy, Aloysius and Jude.

Went to SAS as a kid. Good school, great community. The church community is really good too. Dont know about tuition. Its also a pipeline to CHS and SJA, which are great schools also.

honestly, if I were deciding between St A and St J, I'd go with which ever one has bus service to my neighborhood. I have no idea on Mercy.

With the exception of MBS, they pretty much all are.

We don't have kids yet. But basing out move to our next house on where we want to send our kids to school. Not worried about the buses...we'll bring them to/from school.

My family lived in St.George, and sent us to SAS. I will try to find out what sold them on SAS rather than SGS. I think they really liked the area. At the time they sent a small shuttle van to pick up any kids that liked in our area and oak hills.

Why no Most Blessed Sacrament? It's a Blue Ribbon School.
