St George
St Aloysius
St Jude

Wife and I are down to these 3. Can anyone with experience there ballpark how they compare in tuition? Class sizes? How friendly is the church community? Etc? Good and bad experiences welcomed.

The pastor at St. Jude is really good, imo. No insight on any of the schools though.

All are good. I am partial to SGS and I'd rank them as you have. SGS is $5k/kid if you are a parish member (if you include all fees).

Most people I know that went to CHS or St Joes went to St George or Thomas More. My lil brother swims in Crawfish aquatics and says the people he swims with (Thomas More) are stuck up.

Location. It would be the longest drive for us possible. No easy route to take from St. Gabriel.

We're looking to join a parish. I went to STM, she's from out of town. So both school and the church community are important.

ST George alum here... We dominated all the other schools in sports when I was there except the bowl game between mercy and us. DP ran all over us

Understandable. In that case, though, why not St. Therisa? It'd only be a 15 minute drive from St. Gabriel.

I'm still waiting to see BearTiger's CSAL football rankings for this year.

Isn't there a school in Gonzales?

St. Aloysius may be the hardest to get in of the 3.

Didn't think about them. Was only thinking BR schools since I grew up there. Got any insight?

Great school, great church, great church fair. The only issue is that parents are required to work the fair or else pay a HEFTY fee. I had many friends and relatives go there since I lived in neighboring St. Amant. Most kids that go there for middle school end up at Ascension Catholic in Donaldsonville or Catholic High in BR or St. Joe's if a girl.

Not soccer. Magnet schools beat you there. I really have no idea about catholic schools. Just saying what my brother has told me

Proud SGS dragon here. The school facilities are top notch and we own the catholic schools in sports. That's all you need to know.
