I had a windshield replaced several years back. A week after, I went to Colorado to visit a friend and drove back down through NM, and through Pecos. I hit a dust storm and the state highway was being resurfaced. I got through there with about a 6 inch crack to the edge of the windshield, and about 3 stars. I decided to not give a shite and have driven it that way since.

I don't think so. I remember when it first came out and it was reported that it wasn't a snuff film. I'll see if I can find it.

ETA: fricked up, but not dead

Someone posted a follow-up on this on another site I frequent and supposedly the guy lived. He was just KO'd.

Don't know how he's not dead if that story was accurate though. A hell of a hit to take blindsided like that.

A few decades ago, a buddy of mine bought a BMW. Pulled of the lot right in fprom of a car. Car was undrivable and in the shop for close to a month. In hindsight i'm sure he would have loved a rock to the windshield.

There was some major road work going on my sophomore year of college. Caught a rock on the drive to my hometown one week. We filed insurance and had it replaced. I had the new one less than a week and caught another one. I just drove it that way for probably a year. Got into a fender bender when this old geezer ran a red light and clipped my front fender. The guy doing the repair work on insurance got the windshield replaced as well. Now I don’t really care if there’s a spot. The kits you can buy these days are pretty good at repairing.

There was a Tulane student that was struck by a tire and died a few weeks back at a rest stop in Mississippi.

Damn near the same thing happened to me, cracked windshield not a gardener wanting to give me a beej. I bought my wife a car, and almost immediately caught a rock, cracking the windshield. It spread pretty far. I need to replace it, tbh.

Long story. I bought a new truck and on the way home a bolt fell off a trailer. I saw it go across 2 lanes hit the barricade to my left (I'm in left lane passing people) and it does and onside kick hop up in the air. So im looking for it but cant see it against the cloudy sky and it hit my hood. I was praying for a windshield impact

And everyone questioned how does this happen when the story of the Tulane student was posted around Mardi Gras. That was brutal
