He grew up in the wealthiest precinct in Louisiana
He never had parents that had to deal with job displacement or lack of opportunity
He has zero clue what it is like in some areas out there
His mind literally cannot grasp why struggling Americans might be annoyed and angry that our govt puts the needs of immigrants ahead of its own citizens’ needs.
He is a pretentious little shite with zero intellectual depth.

There is a gray area when it comes to this. Candidates make all kinds of promises, that doesn't mean they are best for the country. Their first job is to get elected.
Like when George HW Bush promised no new taxes, but then had to approve new taxes, because at the time, it was best for the country. A lot of things are fluid in politics.
He needs to realize this isn't a dictatorship and things don't get done just because he says so. If he wants to get things done, he needs to learn how to build relationships, communicate... How to play politics. Instead he just decides on things, tweets about it and contradicts himself from one tweet to the other.. And you can't take someone like that serious.

Fact: our congress voted overwhelmingly in 2006 for a Wall. Numerous presidents and candidates, even dems, ran on building a wall along our border with Mexico

Not exactly. $5 billion would only cover a tiny portion of what has been proposed, even if it is not a wall but an "artistically designed steel slats" aka a fence. That said, glad some folks are willing to put money where their mouth is.

I don’t think many on here think the wall can be built for 5 billion. This go fund me is more about a statement than actually collecting 1 billion to go towards construction. If a couple hundred million is donated then that would be one hell of a statement that MANY Americans do want a wall to keep illegals out.
