Brandon Darby is an expert on the border with Mexico, the cartels and border security. He works for Brietbart (for those that might be triggered by that) but also agrees that a wall isn't feasible in many areas.

Tbh, the naturalization process needs to be almost completely revamped, but that's another thread. There's no reason it should arbitrarily take so long, and cost so much to become a citizen.

99% of the people saying we need a full border wall haven't ever been close to the border or seen further than snippets on the news. I also wonder who they think is gonna build the wall, since you can't get any white or black contractors that don't have a problem with lazy or drugged up employees. The only people who could get it done on time and budget are illegals or H1-B holders

Ok so put the wall where it’s feasible. Many places where it isn’t feasible are blocked by natural barriers and more patrols can be focused there.

How much would it cost to build the wall out of 40’ sea cans stacked two high. Filled with dirt dug to create a trench in front of said wall? Seriously think we could do this for $100 ft. So $1/2 million a mile 1000 miles = $500 million.

Whether it works or not I think people are missing a point here. That point is the people just want some kind, any kind, of action on the issue. This wall is a direct result of several administrations not doing anything to curb illegal immigration in a meaningful manner. People that want something done are just happy that this president is actually doing something

Not a bad idea but it would only be about 24 ft high. Easily scalable with a ladder since it would have a flat top. The current design is probably less material overall, I’m not sure why straight steel beams are so expensive
