Of course $2.5 Billion won't come close to paying for half of the wall. $5 Billion is what DJT is seeking from this year's funding. A year ago he was asking for $18 Billion for the "initial phase". The initial phase was 300+ miles of new wall/fence and improving on 400+ miles of existing barriers. That 700+ miles in addition to what's existing and adequate would cover over half of the 2,000 mile border if I recall correctly.
