I don't know why people are trying to justify this. This was a bad shoot. Real bad. Goode was questionable. This one? 100% bad.
Yeah I've watched it a few times and it seems to be a mess.

The opposition does not concern themselves with procedure, principles or constitutional restraints.
The complete lack of self awareness with this statement is mind blowing.

I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t care anymore. MN has given mobs free rein and basically told LE to stand down but the Feds are supposed to act within strict ROE while Marxists navel gaze about constitutional rights?
Uh, yeah.
Don't be dumb.
The Bill of Rights doesn't say "these rights are limited if the federal government has to work a little harder and be a little more careful than the default settings"
In fact, the restraints and limitations on government are MOST important in times just like these.
The fact that so many self-perceived "conservatives" so easily discard the Constitution is the scary part of this. Your post encapsulates that pretty well.

frick them. If you’re going to get out and FA during this chaos and get shot…you just FO.
What about the LEO who FA and created a situation that didn't need to be created? Why are you exempting their FO?

What does ID have to do with anything, he was never asked for ID?
It was a talking point on Twitter/X that people who don't understand the situation but want to make the decedent look bad are repeating like good NPCs

are also arguing that LEO can just yell "GUN" when apprehending a suspect and kill the suspect even if he's not holding, or attempting to hold, the gun....or even if it's outside of his possession entirely.
Are they actually doing that?

We are, in fact, not. You're just being overly emotional and suffering from partisan brain rot.

lol. But muh 2nd amendment.
As you know, the 2nd amendment is limited by several states in the name of "gun control". Many red states have walked back the need for a concealed carry license. Minnesota is not one of those states.
quote:
In Minnesota, you must have a valid Permit to Carry a Pistol (PCP) or a recognized permit from another state to legally carry a handgun in public, whether concealed or openly. You are required to possess the physical permit and a photo ID whenever carrying the firearm.
If the allegations that he had no identification on his person were true, he was breaking at least one law just by being in public without his PCP.

Officers were in a physical struggle with an armed suspect when a gun was perceived and the word “gun” was shouted. Under settled self-defense law, officers are entitled to rely on fellow officers’ reasonable perceptions. They do not have to personally confirm the threat.
Once a firearm appears during active resistance, the legal standard is simple: reasonable perception of imminent deadly force. That standard was met here. Freeze-frame activism doesn’t override real-time dynamics, and the law does not require officers to wait to be shot. This was a tragic—but lawful—use of force.

Guy has a sub 90 IQ and thinks he is a lawyer. This is America today. This is why we are where we are, a nation dumbed down so much that it hurts.

Even if it were true (which we dont know) its terrible justification to use after the fact. Especially given he was never asked to provide ID during the interaction.

Reminds me of the misdemeanor charge against Saint Kyle the judge ruled was unconstitutional at trial and dismissed

This is called a straw man argument, and a poor one at that. But I'm sure such an intelligent person as yourself knows that.

Oh I’m fully self aware…I’ve watched leftist mobs destroy property, take over city blocks for months and we now know they’re funded by our own tax dollars via a web of NGOs. Progressives imported millions of people from all over the world to increase their power base and now tell their minions to resist the clean up. Waltz and Ellison have basically been caught red handed as billions were stolen right under their nose.
I hope they roll the tanks into this shithole.

How about you just dont interfere in an ongoing arrest scene and don't resist arrest when you're clearly disobeying lawful orders?
He was an idiot. Plain and simple. Most of America isn't shedding tears for someone being this stupid.

I don’t have twitter so I mostly glossed over that last night.
I wonder if there’s any truth to it.
Of course you’re oversimplifying things, as the nurse was not just killed for having a gun, but from my understanding was, at least initially, resisting arrest.
If he had never done that, he would (likely, as these ICE agents seem overzealous and I question their training) still be alive.

Lol. I think you have the straw man, but you’re too dumb and deficient to realize it. It is a reasonable expectation that any person in a state that allows it be carrying a firearm. Not having your ID does not give the authorities open season to kill you for it.

Partisan brain rot stupidity, to summarize.
Disagree. I think there’s 3 groups
1.) libs justifying anything against Trump- bad shoot
2.) Trump fans- good shoot
3.) moderates- Pretti interjected himself into a dumbass situation while being armed.
In case you anti ice people need clarification, I support your right to carry. I support your right to peacefully protest.
I don’t support your right to interject yourself within 100 yards of law enforcement trying to work- whether you agree or not. There are better ways to protest.
If you interject yourself while armed with law enforcement, you are putting yourself into a very dangerous situation for yourself.
