I think the X Files is the last TV sitcom I actually watched.

I can recall going to the Houma location in the late 80’s when I was a young lad and seeing a large roach crawling on the menu board. A few weeks later the place was shut down and never reopened.

It reminds me of an older cleaner version of Yellowstone.

Hell you have to throw Hoss and Little Joe in prison as well. Every other episode one of them would have a girlfriend or fiancé killed in some weird circumstance.

Seriously, being a girl who fell in love with Little Joe was closely akin to being a redshirt or black man on “Star Trek”.

Bonanza was a damn good show…always some hidden lesson to be learned. I believe the poster Jenx used to like Bonanza.

Yes but the best western series was Gunsmoke. Still superb today. Best Western of all time would be Lonesome Dove.

The last one I knew of was at exit 20 in Sulphur. I used to stop at it on the BR to Houston trip every time. Both my cholesterol and spirts nose dived when they closed.

I had many a meal as a young boy at that bonanza. Then my dad started preferring Ryan's steak house. I never understood it.

Hee Haw, All in the Family, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett. Saturday night was lit.

My granddad loved him some Archie Bunker. The premise that Archie was supposed to be an antihero was lost on him.

After the book Lonesome Dove had the character die from swimming into a next of Copperheads, I stayed far, far away from the series.
My memories of the book description didn't need a visual on top of their terror.

My kids like the old western shows - the riflemen is their favorite

I always liked Have Gun will Travel and Cheyenne

We also watch Perry Mason, the boys like McHale’s Navy and my youngest likes Hazel
