Another sign how much the world has changed : a few mths after Dan Blocker/Hoss passed away, the old MAD Magazine had an "interview" with Hoss. There were 5 pages of questions asked by the interviewer & where Hoss's answers were to be was blank. Today, at least 5 law suits would be filed by someone or organization. Favorite show was Hoss & the leprechauns.

Hop Sing

there was an episode where this guy had a beef with the Cartwrights. He fought each one of them starting with Ben and lost each time.

Then he saw Hop Sing alone and said "finally a cartwright i can beat"

Then proceeded to take an arse whipping from Hop Sing.

I did. Reruns with my dad. Had the opportunity to visit the bonanza ponderosa in Lake Tahoe back in 04' where they filmed a bunch of exteriors including the town, the ranch house, etc... A lot of old props and sets were still set up. At some point they closed it down in the past 16 years.

Great memories at the Lake Tahoe Ponderosa Ranch where they filmed the show. They turned it into a Western Bonanza theme park with the sets, mock gunfights, wagon rides, old time photos etc...probably went over 10 times through the years growing up. My mom always loved the pancake wagon train breakfasts they would have through the Sierra Mountain foothills next to Lake Tahoe.

I heard someone with a lot of money bought the park for his family to enjoy. The real estate right on top of the Lake was gorgeous.

Good memories!
