bullshite.

Average American has been paycheck to paycheck since Covid hit, which is why credit card debt is spiking.
Exactly! It's just Bloomberg trying to carry water for Biden.

Despite inflation, I've got to think I'm not the only one on the OT doing significantly better now than, say, 4 years ago. It may just be possible that lots of folks are doing better these days!

When the poli guys claim the economy is awful they all say they are doing just fine but everyone else just isn’t as lucky.

I listen to a lot of earnings reports and both big and small banks have been saying for the last year that average account holdings are still significantly higher than precovid.

Seriously though if you’re not doing well in this economy you’re doing something seriously wrong.

Meh. My families earnings are way up from 2019. I got a few raises, wife got a promotion. Also up is our insurance costs, food costs, energy costs, and damn near everything else. Our house is supposedly worth more, but if I sold it I couldn’t afford a similar one. My retirement savings are up but seem to have dipped a bit lately.

If I hadn’t already been established I think I would find this economy difficult to navigate. Young people just starting their careers shouldn’t have problems finding work, but will likely have issues affording housing and all the adult things we find to spend money on.

Old people have not been able to save, rates are higher, they can now save. That is over 23% of population that has majority of dollars. At least a 5% increase annually right now

You have zero clue, no bank has said this..

Edit the largest 3 banks saw migration from smaller banks in deposits

some of the absolute propaganda you believe and spread is incredible. it just take serious effort with every post to find sources you can sell as credible all to defend a failed administration you voted for

Much of the excess cash is held by upper-income households. Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi reckons that more than half of the $1.8 trillion in excess savings he calculates remains is held by households in the top 10% of the income bracket.
