Told us later that "he knew we could afford it", so that was his justification to not pay us back.

Lived there for years, it's easily still my favorite city. Glad I got out though. Big cities were on the upswing for 30 years+, now they're back on the downswing. It's like we learned absolutely nothing from the 50's and 60's when those cities emptied out.
