So that explains a lot of the aquatic sports domination by skinny white folks.

In most of the categories that matter, black families are worse off than they were under Jim Crow. The most troublesome of these is babies born out of wedlock. It's pretty much 3 out of 4 black babies born to a single mother. Incarceration rates are much higher, as are dropout rates.

No doubt. I ain't one to blame incarceration on the white man and all that jazz you see in liberal media.

I like to keep focus on the one indisputable fact. Blacks WERE OPPRESSED BY LAW in Baton Rouge and many of those oppressed are still alive.
Again this all spawned from someone criticizing the NAACP.

I grew up swimming in places like this.

In fact, before the advent of widespread public pools, most everyone did.

My dad passed away this January but I watched that LPB Special last year and got to ask himn about that. He confirmed that he and his buddies could swim at City Park for a nickel or something and that the black kids had 'watering holes' around town they'd swim in.

That's the kicker. White kids would go swim with them as many white and black kids were friends, contrary to popular belief.
But the black kids couldn't come swim at City Park.

Hell, Village St George wouldn't allow black members of the Aquatic Club until the LATE 80s. That is a FACT.
They didn't get pushback until more blacks moved into the neighborhood and they realized they were being discriminated against.

This mindset makes no sense. Stop assuming you know me. You can’t put me in a box because of my race.

Good points and true but what has the NAACP actually advanced? Or the mouthpieces that get up and scream "RACISM"? Why are things perceived to be so bad. At one time, it was way worse. There is no arguing that. Everyone has the opportunity to better themselves, it just doesn't happen.

Yes. Moors?

Did Black people make white people sit at the back of the busses, eat at different restaurants, drink from other fountains, use outhouses instead of real bathrooms? Many of these people who were oppressed BY ACTUAL LAWS are still alive today.

They forgot to invent those things.

Like I said in this thread or another one, I forget, but no conversation about race in this country can be had without someone bringing up sins of the past. Every time the conversation is had, slavery and or segregation gets brought up and is used as the ultimate trump card to make everyone feel bad.

That’s our country’s history. Why run from it? We don’t run from discussions about the American revolution or the civil war. The only time history doesn’t matter or it should be forgotten is when it details black American history in this country.

One Facebook user posted a picture of a sign at Shaggy's restaurant said it was "welcoming spring breakers" but automatically applying an 18 percent tip on patron's bills. "Shaggy's has NEVER had an automatic-gratuity, so why choose the BLACKEST WEEKEND on the Coast," the post said.

Why complain about this? I tip more than that on my own. They’re saving me money
