Yup too much money sure they already have a team of lawyers. He won’t spend one day in jail..
Defense would have to prove he knew he hit a person, not a lawyer but not sure how difficult that would be with no witnesses (from my knowledge)

I believe it was reported here that there were witnesses.

You don't know what you're talking about so don't state affirmatively things that are blatantly false

Only way he looks not as bad is if he immediately called 911 after hitting the guy and fled due to feeling unsafe stopping around his group of friends
But I doubt that happened

Nah dude was under influence. Did he know he killed someone? Who knows, wouldn’t be the first time someone goes home to avoid DUI.

They’ve been knowing since Sunday? Wtf they tell him? “Yeah, that’s cool. Just come on in whenever you think it’s all out your system. Make sure you put lots of lemon in the water too. I hear it really helps flush you out”

I am willing to bet, kid will not spend one day in jail.
I mean should he???.. kid panicked and drove off … if you ain’t got a record you not doing hard time in Louisiana for this

Prepare yourself. They bout to put this all on Jude
Posted on 10/12/22 at 11:24 am to Schmelly
It’s not going to be easy for the family of the victim, because legally he will bear fault to some degree for crossing not in a crosswalk. Hearing that and watching that play out with a deceased friend/relative will suck
Posted on 10/12/22 at 11:26 am to lsupride87
Yup. Jude was probably impaired to a degree and the kid will probably never spend a day in jail. Just shouldn’t be walking across that road that late at night. Definitely partially Jude’s fault

Negligent homicide carries a sentence up to 5 years.
Vehicular homicide, where the individual is drunk, carries a sentence up to 30 years.
If I were the judge, this kid is being sentenced at least 5 years for fleeing the scene, destroying evidence and should be presumed to be drunk based on facts which I'm sure will come out like he was at a bar prior, etc.

Oh no doubt. But it’s the picture they’ll paint of this kid that’s gonna piss everybody off. Ain’t like they’re gonna say “yup, he was housed”

Which is to an extent utter bs. How many of the frat boys who drank themselves into a stupor have been held partially to blame?
On a different note, mommy Brister is milfy (no pics so as to not incur the wrath of admin).

They can’t get him on vehicular homicide if he was drunk. Can’t prove it since he left now.
Penalties for just felony hit and run driving are a lot less severe.

Will it be homicide of either degree if it’s proven the victim crossed not in a legal crosswalk? They will also go to the exact location of the accident and see the lighting etc etc and infer would even a sober person reasonably have been able to avoid the accident
The fleeing the scene is fricked Up beyond a doubt. But everything else is a lot muddier

It's not just hit and run because a homicide occurred. He should be charged with negligent homicide at minimum
