Open carry means open carry. No laws being broken unless they shoot them in the city limits. One goes off accidentally and damn.
The BP guys are less of a worry than for some local residents to go home and get their Glocks. Some numb nuts like the guy in the shorts & red shirt from the pictures gets one too many drinks in him and does something erratic while carrying is the big worry.

This is dumb. You can't detain someone who hasn't broken a law just because they are open carrying and in compliance with all laws.

Pretty sure a legal public protest requires a permit and the permit language specifically addresses firearms at the protest

It was also a general statement not in particular to this situation. I don't know the idiots that are protesting I'm replying to a comment where someone said anyone open carrying could be approached and have a background check ran on them by police for no reason.
