The Vatican said the bishop would be "relieved" of his duties as a result of investigations at his Diocese of Tyler.

Was the Bishop diddling kids? Acting inappropriate?
What nefarious activity was Bishop Strickland involved in to necessitate an investigation by the Vatican?

quote:

Bishop Strickland is a leading voice in a branch of US Catholicism that is opposed to the Pope's reforms.

quote:

It all follows significant attempts made by the Pope to make the Church more progressive during his papacy.

quote:

On Thursday, the Vatican announced that transgender people can be baptised in the Catholic Church

In October, he suggested that the Church would be open to bless same-sex couples

Climate change has also been a key pillar of his papacy

A: There is no “branch” in the Roman Catholic Church. That’s Protestant territory.

B: we’ve known this “Pope” was evil and a snake since day 1

That's what happens when you call out a corrupt Pope. Catholic branch of the corrupt Euro-DC posse.

This is interesting:
quote:

Earlier this year, the Vatican sent in investigators to look into his governance of the diocese, amid reports that priests and laypeople in Tyler had complained and that he was making unorthodox claims.
The Vatican never released the findings and Strickland had insisted he wouldn’t resign voluntarily, saying in media interviews that he was given a mandate to serve as bishop in 2012 by the late Pope Benedict XVI and couldn’t abdicate that responsibility.

Under the same conditions as any other person, ie they have repented and professed faith in Christ. An unrepentant happily trans person cannot be baptized.

quote:

In October, he suggested that the Church would be open to bless same-sex couples

He suggested the Church would be open to blessing individuals who are gay, just as any other sinner may be blessed in the hope they will repent and live for Christ. He stated the Church cannot bless gay unions or marriages, because the Church cannot bless sin.

Just wanted to add some context to these points.

Anyone who studies the Bible should be able to easily see that the Catholic Church is perfectly set up to be the one world religion at the end of days.

So, since you appear to be defending this heresy are they being baptized as the gender God made them or the gender they have chosen?

If it’s the gender that God made them, they are no longer transgender so therefore it can be safely posted they are NOT repentant.

Catholic Church hasn’t been about Jesus for hundreds of years which is why Protestants walked away. Doesn’t look to be getting any closer either.

Baptizing someone who has examined their conscience, repented of their sins, and decided to take up their cross and follow Christ is not heresy. To withhold the sacrament from such a person is, however.

I would assume most trans people don't actually transition, and if they did, they would likely fall under the "unless baptizing such a person would cause public scandal" clause mentioned in the Dubia response.

Bold of you to cast the first stone, or presume to know someone's heart in a way that only God can.

Any other questions, Mr. Pharisee?

I haven’t seen any modern religion that Jesus, based on his red words in the Bible, would approve. Most of them would run his arse out of town.
