I haven’t seen any modern religion that Jesus, based on his red words in the Bible, would approve. Most of them would run his arse out of town.
Religion is the tricky bit. All are a construct of man, up to interpretation and subject to the whims and opinions of man. The word of God is. Religion more often than not muddies the waters, often times intentionally, and far too often with....less-than-pure motivation.

Really!
When Jesus said you must be baptized was that a construct of man?
How about when he said unless you eat my body and drink my blood you can not be saved.
Was that a construct of man?
What about the last supper when he said do this in memory of me ? Was that a construct of man.
How about when Jesus told the apostles “ forgive men’s sins and they are forgiven , hold them bound and they are bound?
Or when he gave Peter the keys and told him to bind an to loosen?
All these things the Catholic Church does because Christ commanded it.
Maybe you should re examine who are the true followers of Christ.

The Vatican is evil. A thoroughly corrupt organization.

You don't describe religion, though.
And the entire Catholic church is still being guided by one man and his interpretation of the word of God.

Sad but true.
How did Jesus deal with the evil priest in his day?
He said “do what they say but don’t do what they do”

The C.C. Has 2000 years of continuous consistent teaching which is contained in the Bible and the catechism. That is why everyone knows this guy is a heretic. He teaches error and everyone knows it.

Well I just described 3 of the 7 sacraments of the church.
I think that is a large chunk of the Christian religion.

As someone who was raised in a very Catholic household and probably disappointed my mom when she realized I was not going to be a priest (I couldn't deal with the whole celibacy thing)
Isn't it true that the Pope is infallible when he speaks on faith and morals? Seems to me this falls under that category.
Let's not pretend that things in the church have been the same since Jesus walked the earth. There have been major changes to the faith. Louisiana has been a state (1812) longer than the Immaculate Conception has been dogma (1852).

Correct.
The church has grown in its understanding of salvation history and the role that Mary played.
But that dogma changed nothing about what the church has always taught is needed to save one’s soul.
The truth of Christ has not changed.
The sacraments are the conduit of Gods grace.
Jesus instituted those sacraments not man. They are written in the gospels. Communion, confession,Mass, Baptism, Holy orders. These things were created by Christ as stated in the gospels.
The Catholic Church is the only church that has always had them and the only one that has preserved all of them.
That does not mean that Judus is not infiltrating the church and causing chaos.

True, but he cannot contradict or change teaching that has already been established.
To do so would be heresy which I believe this pope has already done.
Bottom line. It’s been 2000 years of Catholic teaching. If someone (popes included) “teach you a gospel other than the one you have already received do not believe it” Saint Paul.

Nah, the Catholic church is down with all of that. Just move them to a different town and all is well.
How people can support such a corrupt institution is beyond me.

Before this pope is done he will fundamentally alter the Catholic Church 's stance on abortion, if not outright endorse it.
I predict within 20 years you will see Latin America and Africa break off from the Roman Catholic Church, leaving it to the liberal and heretical European and North American Catholics.
If the Catholic Church is going to be saved, it will be by the Third World.

The pope is the Vicar of Christ. Instead of critiquing him we should have humility and recognize that the Holy See of Rome is above our judgement.
