He’s not wrong, but he spent 70 years preaching to over 2 billion people all over the world. If that’s the worst you can find (which again he isn’t wrong) then I’d say thats a pretty remarkable track record for a preacher/evangelist. Read his book Just as I Am and see where his heart was. Just saying, don’t spout off stupid stuff hiding behind an anonymous board.

Billy Graham was not a shyster. Joel Osteen is everything I hate about Prosperity Theology and the weak- minded moths that are attracted to it’s flame.

Both provided a service that others desired and both are have been rewarded. Nothing wrong with a huge house for all your family and friends to drop by and pay you a visit. Nothing wrong with owning a jet. It just means that you have something that others desire. Hope, snake oil or a new car. Most millionaires make a nickle a pickle and get paid by the masses. Wrigley's gum used to a 5 cents a pack. Unless the service is "free" like Facebook where you have to exchange your data I am all for it.

Olsteen is a ugly frick with a hot wife. Moral of the story is if you want to make bank and rip off poor people. This is the route for you if you are ugly and a good car salesman.

I am all for people making as much money as they possibly can, but like anything else there are exceptions to the rules and I like Joel Olsteen is no better than a drug dealer.
It might not be a physical drug, but what they do is psychological. Of course the same can be said about something like gambling, but at least it's not using God to do it.
They give you that first hit for free by telling you how great it is and bring you to their services then there will always be those who will get sucked in by the false sense of community, etc, etc. But once you are in.. Don't think about associating with others who might influence you to leave. No.. Because those people are sinners and it's the devil's way to getting you sucked back in to your old ways..
