Billboards...has there EVER been a time that one has influenced you to use that business?

I think they are a colossal waste of money. The eyesore issue aside, does anyone really gain by there existence, other than the company that puts them up?

I guarantee subliminally you have bought something because you've seen it on a billboard and then thought about it when you walked past it on an aisle at the grocery. It's science.

You are lying if you say the fireworks billboards did not work on you when you were a kid.

Yep, when driving down the interstate looking for a place to stop for lunch.

Advertising isn't about necessarily "influencing" you.
Its about recognition. You saw the name for whatever it is. You need that service. You think about them.

I'm a devout Christian and those damn billboards for Rick's Cabaret have caused some serious issues with my marriage!

There was this one time I was driving on the interstate and I saw a billboard advertising that a Burger King was a few exits ahead. It was around lunch time and I'll be damned if I didn't stop and grab a hamburger. Weird!

if they didn't work, people wouldn't keep buying them.

Buc-ee's FTW!!! I've driven miles past my turn to get to them.

Does a billboard for an Adult Video store that resulted in me getting a bj in the parking lot count?

As a business owner I've given it a shot on a couple of occasions.. It is in fact what you said.. A colossal waste of money.
