The legislation includes both Democratic and Republican priorities: It expunges federal cannabis-related records and creates funding for law enforcement departments to fight illegal cannabis cultivation. It also establishes grant programs for small business owners entering the industry who are from communities disproportionately hurt by past drug laws, requires the Department of Transportation to research and develop a nationwide standard for marijuana-impaired driving, and restricts the marketing of cannabis to minors.

Marijuana legalization is so popular that neither party will allow the other to take credit. We will continue to have a hodgepodge of different state laws, which is not the worst thing in the world. Remove it from the CSA and let the die be cast.

Its amazing that in 2022 you can still get wasted legally but get caught with a joint and you're arrested.

See this is where I'm on the opposite side of the issue, but still on the same side.

I think possession (a quarter pound or less) and use of weed should be legal, as well as personal manufacture, I don't know, ten plants? I do not agree with big corporate farms growing weed to be packaged and sold at the local Chevron to the lottery ticket crowd and grape flavored blunt wrapper folk.

I was able to find weed to smoke before I could ever get a beer or dip.

Unfortunately, it won't get nearly enough Republican votes to pass.

It should be legal, but if the bill to get it legalized has bullshite race stuff like this in it, then I'm fine with it not passing.

My cousin was annoyed by the national guard weed eradication helicopter buzzing around, so he went outside and pointed a rifle at it.

That's an 18 month stretch in the pen. Who would've thought?

If I can pay for the bills to grow it then don't tell me how much I can grow.
