You gotta go through Houma to get to Cocodrie and Dularge...so yes there are 2 reasons right there

you can get to both without passing "through" Houma and just barely clip the edge of it.

i live in Montegut and avoid Houma like it's the fricking plague.
can get damn near anywhere in the state without having to drive through that shithole.

I bookmarked this thread for when the shittiest city in louisiana thread comes up, just to point out ignorance.

You think people are lying when they say Shreveport is shitty? When it comes to shitty cities, Alexandria beats it out though.

I gather driving through constitutes setting foot? If so I'm thinking Alex.

I have lived in LA nearly a decade and I have never been to Shreveport, Alexandria, or Monroe. And I doubt I ever will.

Lots of Shreveport hate. I bet if you asked most of these people for a list of specific reasons it Shreveport is shitty, you'd get a lot of vague responses.

I grew up there. Have lived in New Orleans for 25 years. Guess what... when I retire, I'm going back to Shreveport.

This is really hard for me. I've been to 60 of 64 Louisiana parishes.

It appears Haynesville is the largest town I've never been to.
