I don’t know man. The TDS outbreak of 2016-2024 might give CoronaVirus hysteria a run for it’s money. Mostly the same people, which explains a lot. Delicate psychology leads one to hysterical politics. I mean, if you are having a real problem not wetting the bed about the human condition on a daily basis, this is kind of a golden era for you.

In 1957 (US population was 176 million) and 1968 (US population was 201 million). They had 116,000 Americans die in 1957 from a pandemic flu and around 100,000 in 1968 and the entire country did not shut down nor did people even talk much about it. 1957 was known for the 57 Chevy and 1968 was known for Vietnam protest, hippies, music and drugs. The people that can work from home should, help our elderly the best we can, wash our hands, keep your hands away from your face, don’t hang out in crowds, use common sense, and get this country back to work!

Why stop there? If you limit it to those who have died it's 100%!

DOOOOOOM.

You just outted yourself as a moron.

I said half of the total cases and you equated that to half of the mortality rate. You may want to edit that post to preserve your online dignity.

I feel the number of total cases are dramatically higher than reported. Yet the death rate is fully reported. In America, hospitals get reimbursed by the government if they check a Covid box on an uninsured patient that died of anything. Highly highly contagious, but actually fatality rate is extremely low.

I assumed you meant that half of cases aren’t being counted because of mild/no symptoms.

If you double the total cases with the same deaths, what happens to the mortality rate?

If that’s NOT what you meant....the mortality rate doesn’t change just because it’s mild for most people.

So literally I was exactly right, you think half of cases weren’t being detected, which would double the cases and half the death rate.

And you think I’m an idiot for you not understanding how math works.

Do any of you who start these threads talk to anyone on the front lines? I swear. Family friends (working in the hospitals with the patients) telling us not to go out unless absolutely necessary is all I need to here. These are people who voted for Trump telling me this!

Simply put....no.

They don’t need to. They have it all figured out and they will find a way to make reality bend to their will!

Yes. And that still doesn't change the fact what we are doing is going to harm far, far more people over a longer period of time.

If the resident doomcasters don't start pacing themselves they're going to be wore out by the time hurricane season gets here.

You sound like a lazy minded crazy person.

Is the UK being "held hostage by the media"?

What about Canada, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Greece, France, Germany and every other industrialized country on this fricking planet? Are they being "held hostage" by the media as well?

Are all these countries willing to tank their own fricking economies because the American media says they should? Are you thinking this dumb shite through?

Turn off the talk radio for just one fricking day and think for yourself.
