No, the OT hates your racist shtick to try and make everything about race and victimhood. Beyonce's country song is not for the 40+ yr old male who grew up listening to Country music. This board also craps on Bro county which is predominantly white rich kids pretending to be country. Take your racism blinders off and you'll realize you're calling a bunch of dudes racist for not liking a song because it falls under pop/bro country, not just because of the singer.

Dude, let's be honest, if it wasn't Beyoncé singing it, that song would have been lambasted.

It’s objectively not a good song. It's being buoyed solely by her celebrity.

Didn’t a bunch of leftists recently say that cars song by Tracy chapman covered by a country singer was only popular with country fans due to a White man covering a black female’s original song. They got a little ruffled when Tracy Chapman said very positive things about the cover & its success, and then Tracy sang it together with the country guy at the Grammies.

I don’t remember the country singer’s name as everyone not black, which includes myself, all look alike to me; but bringing together 2 different styles and/or eras to perform together was one of my favorite parts of the Grammies when I used to watch it more.

If you read comments on Facebook, black people invented country music, and also were the first:

1. Egyptians
2. Vikings
3. Chinese
4. First Samurai
5. Celtics
6. Native Americans

In addition, you should be thanking them for teaching Whyte cave dwellers to bathe, and for existing. You owe all black people your existence.

Go look at a few Afrocentric pages, it'll blow your mind.

They invented everything and the yt stole it and rewrote history.

The lyrics

quote:

Chorus]
This ain't Texas (Woo)
Ain't no hold 'em (Hey)
So lay your cards down, down, down, down
So park your Lexus (Woo)
And throw your keys up (Hey)
Stick around, 'round, 'round, 'round, 'round (Stick around)
And I'll be damned if I can't slow-dance with you
Come pour some sugar on me, honey too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a bitch, come take it to the floor now, woo, ha (Woo)

Verse 1]
There's a tornado (There's a tornado)
In my city (In my city)
Hit the basement (Hit the basement)
That shite ain't pretty (That shite ain't pretty)
Rugged whiskey (Rugged whiskey)
'Cause we survivin' ('Cause we survivin')
Off red-cup kisses, sweet redemption, passin' time, yeah

[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, one step to the right
We headed to the dive bar we always thought was nice
Ooh, run me to the left
Then spin me in the middle, boy, I can't read your mind

[Chorus]
This ain't Texas (Woo)
Ain't no hold 'em (Hey)
So lay your cards down, down, down, down
So park your Lexus (Woo)
And throw your keys up (Hey)
And stick around, 'round, 'round, 'round, 'round (Stick around)
And I'll be damned if I can't slow-dance with you
Come pour some sugar on me, honey too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a bitch, come take it to the floor now, woo
And I'll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Come pour some liquor on me, honey too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a bitch, come take it to the floor now, woo

[Post-Chorus]
Woo-hoo
Woo-hoo
Woo-hoo

[Verse 2]
There's a heatwave (There's a heatwave)
Comin' at us (Comin' at us)
Too hot to think straight (Too hot to think straight)
Too cold to panic (Cold to panic)
All of the problems
Just feel dramatic (Just feel dramatic)
And now we're runnin' to the first bar that we find, yeah

[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, one step to the right
We headed to the dive bar we always thought was nice
Ooh, you run to the left
Just work me in the middle boy, I can't read your mind

[Chorus]
This ain't Texas (Woo)
Ain't no hold 'em (Hey)
So lay your cards down, down, down, down, oh
So park your Lexus (Hey)
And throw your keys up (Hey)
And stick around,' round, 'round, 'round, 'round (Stick around)
And I'll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Come pour some sugar on me, honey too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a bitch, come take it to the floor now (Woo)
And I'll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Come pour some liquor on me, honey too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a—, come take it to the floor now, ooh

[Outro]
Take it to the floor now, ooh
Hoops, spurs, boots
To the floor now, ooh
Tuck, back, oops (Ooh, ooh, ooh)
Shoot
Come take it to the floor now, ooh
And I'll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Baby, pour that sugar and liquor on me, too
Furs, spurs, boots
Solargenic, photogenic, shoot

It falls into the pop country category that wanna be country kids and white women love. Beyonce does broaden that audience some, but there is a market for it. I just hate they label that market as country, not because of this song alone, but because of the genre as a whole.

Also does the CMA's have to give her an award now? Could you imagine her being the first black woman to top the charts and not get one? Jay Z and others already go after any white woman who beats her for an award trying to insinuate it's race based. Could you imagine if she doesn't get at least one CMA or 'New Artist of the Year" off her country album after one song hit #1?!

Scruffy doesn’t like country at all.

In his opinion, it isn’t a good song.

It is just another example on a long list of “corporate-created” music. The lyrics are a hodgepodge of “country music tropes” and feel as if they were written by an AI.

It is nothing special.

But, Scruffy doesn’t like country music.
