Melba Braud, Caretaker of dementia patient, charged for changing will, Destin beach property ownership, and names on bank accounts/stocks

This is more common than people think. Parasites are everywhere. Watch your loved ones and get a serious background check before hiring. It will cost the Claybourne family a small fortune to right this crime.

This guy was about as far away from "sound mind and body" as one can get. This seems like a pretty slam dunk case both on the civil side and criminal side.

That Clark lady with the Council on Aging did this and got a promotion.

ETA: I see WBRZ mentioned this at the bottom of the article and threw a little shade. Well done.

Wow, the caretaker worked fast.

She found about all of the unfortunate guys dealings, and changed his holdings and his will in just four months.

If she worked for the EBRCOA, she would have been celebrated for this.

From his obituary…

quote:

Very special thanks to caregiver and good friend he loved dearly, Melba Braud. He is survived by his son Brendan Claybourn and his granddaughter H. Claybourn, and his estranged wife.

Interesting The wife’s name isn’t even mentioned

Online will suffice.. Most businesses use online background checks... Local PI would be better tho...

Also, put cameras everywhere, and do not allow big bags to be brought in. Personal property is an easy target and is usually missed for awhile after gone.

Found that odd too.

Beth was locally canceled a few years back for some sort of racism claims. I forget what they were or if they were even legitimate.

People act crazy when money is involved.

How did this idiot caregiver think she was going to get away with it?

Like no one would notice?
