Bring that sweet man a meal and a box of honey buns. And a "beverage"!!! Hope you get in there sooner rather than later.

GFS still has a major hurricane spinning up in the Caribbean in a week and half and entering the gulf as a Cat 3.

It's the GFS, in October. It spun up so many hurricanes there last year. I remember all zero that actually happened.

I expect a hurricane to form down that way in October but I'm not going to chase every GFS fantasy cane at this point.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more impressive tropical system on radar:

Well I'm going to remember this storm.

Looks like I'm going to be a dad before this thing is out of the way.

I think a middle name of "Beta" is appropriate

At least right now, the hi-res models aren't really seeing the same kind of heavy rain potential that the Euro is showing.

If anyone was wondering, the 12z Euro cut rainfall totals by 10 - 15" for portions of S. Louisiana and is now much more in line with other guidance.

We are about 30 minutes north of there and have been getting hammered. Thankfully it looks like we're about at the tail end of that band.

Near MO City in fb County and its been raining non stop since 8:45 am. Looks like first break will be around 3pm. I have to believe we will end up being on the higher side of rainfall projections this week. We got 1.3" yesterday. Gonna be quite a bit higher today with 2 more days to go.

If this was a badass storm, sure. Can't give her a middle name of a weak sheared mess.
