Serenity now
The wave train off Africa looks like it's still kicking too.

Find someone to love you as much the GFS loves spinning up Caribbean hurricanes in October. The set up is good is all that is telling us.
WPC brings moderate risk of excessive rain over BR and the river parishes tomorrow but it should be noted it's still the Euro kind of alone on the aggressive totals. Lot of convergence for sure, but it's still pretty stable overall inland. Just going to watch for the band to set up heavy or not.
Also remember the 2016 event had multiple high risk days, and those are the bad ones. Just to be clear.

So does this mean Beta is going to be big old nothing hopefully?

Is that activity over Florida any kind of threat?
Posted on 9/21/20 at 10:15 am to DVinBR
The one over Florida is supposed to drift south towards Cuba before turning back north over Florida

GFS still has a major hurricane spinning up in the Caribbean in a week and half and entering the gulf as a Cat 3.
Please no.

That’s two weeks away, I wouldn’t worry

seems like it is becoming more and more likely that Beta shifts back eastward and stays in the gulf before going inland on Louisiana

The good news is that it's steady dry air and shear diet limits what more over water time will do for it.

I can tolerate the rain. Hell my yard needs it

Hell, Beta's center passed pretty close to this buoy, and it never even reported TS force sustained winds.
Such a beta

Today, I declared a state of emergency in advance of Tropical Storm Beta, which could impact Louisiana in the coming days. The declaration allows the state to assist local governments with their response needs. #lagov #lawx #Beta

The most appropriately named storm in history

What I'm really watching today, Teddy going extratropical. Won't be the show Sandy was but a pretty strong showing for September.

JML have you been able to schedule a visit with your grandfather? I talked to our facility this am and we haven't had an employee or resident case in more than 30 days SO families will be able to go inside with precautions (didn't ask what they were but I'm sure standard things).
